Thanks for that KID, currently having problems with the heartbeat connection between my 2 cluster nodes. Getting the following error when adding Node B to the cluster:-
Status 0x00138f:The cluster resource could not be found (looked at KN923840 and ensured that subnet mask is configured the same on both NICS)
When i examine the log i get:-
[INFO] spc-clus1: The following networks will not be managed by the cluster: (hr=00000000, {036BF367-2487-4aB3-8AE1-E4104E2EB3C5}, {00AF4C3F-47D5-4G6A-9EF0-6D719A32EE5C}, 1, 1, 1), The network adapters shown cannot be managed by the cluster. Please ensure that they have valid TCP/IP configurations and are connected to the network. Once these network adapters have a valid TCP/IP configuration they will be automatically added to the cluster.
I have the heartbeat connection setup with a crossover between both servers and the ip address on Node A is 10.10.10.10. Subnet Mask:-255.0.0.0 The IP address on Node B is 10.10.10.11 Subnet Mask:-255.0.0.0
I can ping 10.10.10.11 from Node A and i can ping 10.10.10.10 from Node B. Cluster Admin is reporting both connections as up!!
Any ideas?? This is driving me nuts.
The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on. It is never any use to oneself.
